Homestead Benefit Program
March 28, 2011

Manalapan Residents will be receiving almost $1 million in property tax relief due to the Homestead Benefit Program established by the State.

The Township mailed over 4000 Homestead Benefit Adjusted Tax bills; the property tax relief will be applied directly towards the resident’s second quarter taxes.

All questions on the adjusted tax bill are to be directed to the State at the toll free number listed on the bill 1-(888)-238-1233.

The Township reached out to the Freehold Regional High School District’s STEP program in assistance with the mailing of the tax bills.  STEP stands for Student Transition Employment Program.

This program is designed to provide students with disabilities for life long employment skills.

It was a wonderful experience for the Township and the students in STEP and we hope to work together again in the future.
