Pool Permits
A swimming pool is defined as any structure intended for swimming, recreational bathing or wading that contains water over 24 inches deep.
Inground pools shall be completely enclosed by a fence at least 4 feet in height. Access gates shall open outward away from the pool and shall be self-closing and have a self-latching device. Zoning is a prior approval for all inground and above-ground pools.
In addition to the construction permit jacket, Application for Certificate and Zoning approval, the following subcode cards must be included: Building with two copies of pool plans or brochure of above-ground pool, Electrical along with all filter information, and Plumbing. If a heater is being installed, then Plumbing also requires gas pipe drawing.
