4-28-09 Swine Flu

Swine Flu Preparedness

We are sure that everyone has been following the news about the swine flu outbreak.  Fortunately, to date we are not aware of any cases in our community.  However, as this disease appears highly communicable and more and more cities, states and countries report newly diagnosed illnesses it will not be a surprise if we see this disease in our Township.  We wish to share with you that the Township has been working with partners on local, county, state and federal levels in developing plans to prepare for such a disease outbreak over the past few years.  As such, we have some documents on our Township website that are designed to help residents and businesses take steps to prevent illness and/or provide home based care to sick persons.  We urge you to go to the website – www.mtnj.org – and access this information from the Swine Flu link on the home page.

Help the Environment while Getting Volunteering Hours and Excellent Material for Your College Application

I will walk you through it all.

Benefits: Community service hours, resume/college application material, a College Recommendation from me, the Mayor or the Township Committee, and the grateful thanks of the environment.

Please contact me if you are interested, or simply have questions:
